Guerlain’s 2015 limited edition May Day celebration Muguet will be launching in the United Kingdom on the 27th of April.
Described as ‘the olfactory portrait of a lucky flower’, this year’s floral bottle takes inspiration from the design originally created by master glassmakers Pochet du Courval in 1908 - this time reinterpreted in white biscuit porcelain, decorated with an image of lily of the valley in relief. The neck of the bottle is adorned with a green organdie ribbon in a four-looped bow, which also recalls the 1908 design.
The porcelain flacon has been created by Artoria, renowned specialists in porcelain ware, based in Limoges. In 2007, the company’s skill in this field was recognised with the prestigious “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (“Living Heritage Company”) label.
The fragrance is described by Guerlain as having ‘the charm and delicacy of a bouquet sprinkled with wonderful green notes evoking the springtime dew’, with the addition of rose, jasmine and a lilac accord, to lend ‘depth and femininity’.
Guerlain’s Muguet 2015 is available in a limited edition of 1,659 numbered pieces, at £430 ($835) for 75ml.
